In addition, to the patent and trademark service, PI&D will assist inventors in developing their invention. In many cases, inventors do not go beyond the patent application, because they lack the skills, or knowledge to produce the prototype model, or to go into production with their invention. PI&D can assist in this area, and will provide the following services:
- Preparation of a prototype model of the invention, using laser SLA process..
- Preparation of manufacturing drawings of the invention.
- Preparation of view graphs for presentations by the inventor.
- Creation of rendered 3-D color images of the invention.
- Creation of computer animated videos of the invention in operation to assist the inventor in marketing the product.
Prototype models can be produced by the follows methods:
- Machining
- Wood working
- Plastic molding using the Stereo lithography (SLA) process.
The SLA process uses a solid model CAD drawing of the invention to produce a solid urethane part, duplicating the invention in all its detail. The CAD drawing can also be used to provide data to the machines that make the tooling for plastic injection molding of parts for high production.
